British Defender is a high tech Whitbread Around The World Racing Maxi that was raced by the British Armed Services during the 1989/90 Around the World Race. It is an 83ft Maxi Yacht with a Sloop design. Built of Carbon Fibre, features include a huge 115ft mast, race grinding winch towers and over 6ft of headroom below deck. Since this maxi was converted into a Whitsunday Charter Maxi yacht in 2001, she runs a 3-day/2night trip departing Thursdays and Mondays.
